Incredible Experiences at Art Vancouver 2022

So grateful for this amazing experience!

A heartfelt 'Thank You' to so many of you, whether you have been following me already on Instagram and shown your support throughout my four days at Art Vancouver, or whether you came as a friend, or were a complete stranger and dropped by my booth and spoke to me.

Impressions at Art Vancouver

I also loved meeting other artists, who I hope to continue to have a relationship with. It is so wonderful to experience the genuine support and warmth for one another, as we artists are so often by ourselves in the studio.

I felt completely exhausted the day after the art fair, but it was ALL worth it. The artworks I showcased were very well received and this is what I thrive on the most: Getting my art seen and hearing how much it resonates with YOU!

It is wonderful to engage with so many different people, and to see that my paintings really brought out emotions and sparked their soul. As one person said,

“You have a gift to bring brightness and happiness into this world”.

I also found it amazing how many people, including other artists, were interested in my technique and process. Lots of viewers got really close to the paintings, asking very detailed questions about my mark making, and how I create certain textures. There was even an art instructor from Cuba who was fascinated by my ‘pink paintings’ and commented that in his view pink is a very difficult color to paint with; “you either get it or you don’t” and he loved them all. I was also surprised that quite a few people asked me if I am offering instruction or courses.

Finally, what touched me the most were the many heartfelt comments that my paintings struck a core and evoked a deep emotion in so many viewers. I would have never imagined having so many in-depth conversations with complete strangers about life, and the challenges we all face, at a busy art fair!

I met an amazing woman who took the time to write a personal note that really warmed my heart. She said…

“I stopped in front of Claudia Wiebe's vibrant canvases that drew me like a magnet. I was totally captivated by their energy and colour, by hints of dancing light and life. Her paintings are stunning. If you get a chance to see her work, please go. You won't want to miss it."

So grateful for the entire experience!
